Scott Ayton-Laplanche trabalhava em uma loja de eletrodomésticos durante 9 meses no Reino Unido.
Contudo, Scott passou por um momento embaraçoso quando seu novo chefe disse que ele tinha que remover sua maquiagem para continuar trabalhando. Ele não deu bola e continuou seu trabalho.
Scott em sua conta no Facebook publicou o que tinha acontecido com ele e mencionou que fez o que fez para combater os estereótipos de gênero prevalentes na sociedade.

Scott não ficou de braços cruzados, em seguida, fez uma denúncia no perfil do Facebook de seu novo chefe. O jovem recebeu o apoio de muitos usuários. A denúncia se deu da seguinte maneira, “não há nenhuma política que proíba o uso de maquiagem no trabalho”.

“Eu tenho trabalhado aqui por oito / nove meses e eles nunca me criticaram por minha maquiagem. Na verdade, o contrário. Os chefes até me encorajaram a fazê-lo e eles me elogiaram (…) Obviamente, eu não vou tirar minha maquiagem quando todas as minhas colegas podem trabalhar tão fabulosas quanto “

Scott defendeu seus direitos:
“Estamos em 2017, uma época do ano em que celebramos o orgulho gay durante o verão e eu estou incrivelmente lindo assim, então lidem com isso. É flagrantemente errado discriminar alguém por qualquer motivo. Eu tirei essa foto após ser solicitado que eu removesse a maquiagem. “
A empresa onde ele trabalha respondeu que eles são “orgulhosos da diversidade de seus funcionários , “ mas em qualquer linha mencionou que Scott poderia continuar indo para o trabalho com maquiagem.
Isso aconteceu em 2017 e, infelizmente, muitas injustiças ainda acontecem em lugares onde se vivem de aparência ou preferência alheia sem se importar com o sentimento do próximo, qual é a sua opinião sobre este caso?
